How the operation works
We are built around one thing, the phone. When you call (973) 488-5410, the call is answered by a dispatcher, not a recording. That person collects your address, the problem and whether water, gas or sewage is involved.
From there, we match the job to a plumber and give you the best information we have on timing. We do not post a fixed arrival window, because plumbing calls are unpredictable and we would rather be accurate than fast-sounding.
There are no online forms on this site and no chat box. That is deliberate. A leaking pipe is easier to describe in thirty seconds of talking than in a form field, and the first instructions we give you can matter more than the repair itself.
Dispatch from Ridgewood
Our address is 175 E Ridgewood Ave, Ridgewood, NJ 07450. Dispatch starts in Ridgewood and spreads out from there, which is why Glen Rock and Midland Park sit so close to our base.
We also serve Wyckoff, Waldwick and Fair Lawn. You can read about each town on our service areas page, and the contact details are on the contact page.
Ridgewood itself is a village of roughly 26,500 residents, according to Census Bureau estimates, and most homes are owner-occupied. That shapes our work. Many of the people who call us own the pipes, the water heater and the sump pump, and they want to understand what they are paying for.
What we do
We cover the full range of residential plumbing and a good share of light commercial work. The core of it is emergency response, which means leaks, backups, failed water heaters, burst pipes and sump pumps that quit during a storm.
We also do planned work. That includes new fixtures, appliance hookups, water heater swaps and inspections before a purchase.
- Drains and sewers, from a slow sink to a main line backup, on our drain cleaning and sewer line repair pages
- Water heaters, including repair, replacement and tankless units
- Hidden leaks, with leak detection to find the source before walls are opened
- Water supply work, from burst pipes to the service line from the curb
- Basement water, through sump pump repair and basement waterproofing
- Heating, where a boiler fails, through our boiler repair service
The whole menu is on the services page, grouped by the kind of problem you are facing.
What we do not do
We do not promise that a plumber will arrive in a set number of minutes. We do not quote a flat price over the phone for a problem nobody has seen yet. And we do not recommend a replacement when a repair will hold.
We also do not take bookings through forms or messaging apps. If you need us, call. That keeps the line simple and keeps your details out of places they do not need to be.
There are jobs outside plumbing that we do not take. We are not an electrician, a roofer or a general contractor. When a water problem has damaged drywall, flooring or wiring, we fix the plumbing and tell you what other trades you may need.
How we approach a price
Before work starts, the plumber looks at the problem and tells you what is wrong, what the repair involves and what it will cost. You decide whether to go ahead. If the scope grows once something is opened up, we stop and talk to you again.
Price depends on access, parts, the condition of the existing system, and whether the job needs a permit. We explain each of those factors on the relevant service page rather than hide them behind a number that may not fit your house.

Licensing and local rules
Plumbing in New Jersey must be performed by a master plumber or an authorized plumbing contractor, or by employees working under one, according to the State Board of Examiners of Master Plumbers. We are licensed and insured. If you want to verify any New Jersey plumbing license, the Division of Consumer Affairs runs a public license verification portal.
Local rules matter too. Ridgewood has a Department of Building and Inspections that enforces the Uniform Construction Code, including a Plumbing Subcode Official. When a job needs a permit or an inspection, we explain that up front.
Why we keep this site plain
You will not find invented testimonials, star counts or years-in-business claims on these pages. We would rather give you facts you can check. The phone number rings, the address exists, and the email is real.
If something on the site is unclear, call and ask. We would rather correct a misunderstanding before the job than after it.
Who calls us
Most callers are homeowners. Some manage rentals, and some run small businesses on Ridgewood Avenue or along Route 17, who use our commercial plumbing service. The problems vary, but the first call usually sounds the same: something is wrong, and the person wants to know what to do first.
That first conversation is what we focus on. Everything else, from scheduling to the repair itself, follows from a clear description and a calm set of instructions.
