Start with the problem, not the trade name
Most people do not know the plumbing term for what is wrong. They know the sink is full, the tank is cold or the basement smells damp. We grouped our services by those symptoms so you can find a match quickly.
Every service below links to a page that explains the usual causes, what to do before a plumber arrives, and the factors that shape the price. Emergency services are on call around the clock.
Hot water and heating
A cold shower at six in the morning is miserable, but it is also useful information. The symptom, the age of the tank and the fuel it burns tell a plumber whether the fix is a small part or a new unit.
Water Heater Replacement
When a tank has rusted through or leaks at the bottom, we swap it for a unit sized to your household and connect the gas or electric and the vent.
Water Heater Repair
Lukewarm water, a pilot that keeps going out, or a tank that pops and rumbles. We find the failed part and fix it when repair makes sense.
Water Heater Installation
Scheduled installs for a remodel, new build or change of fuel, with the piping and venting planned ahead of time.
Tankless Water Heater
On-demand heaters installed, serviced and flushed of scale, plus diagnosis when an error code blocks hot water.
Boiler Repair
Cold radiators or no hot water from a gas or oil boiler get traced on site, then repaired.
Drains, sewers and wet basements
Waste lines fail in a few predictable ways. Grease and soap build up inside, roots work into joints, and old pipe cracks or sags. The right fix depends on where the blockage sits and what is causing it, which is why a camera often comes before a repair.
Drain Cleaning
Sinks, tubs, showers and floor drains that run slow or not at all, cleared and then tested with running water.
Hydro Jetting
High-pressure water scrubs the inside of a pipe clean when a cable only punches a small hole through the clog.
Sewer Line Cleaning
Sewage rising in a basement drain or several fixtures backing up together points to the main line, which we cable and clear.
Sewer Line Repair
For cracked, rooted or collapsed laterals, we compare spot repair, pipe lining and replacement for your situation.
Sewer Camera Inspection
A video look inside the lateral before you buy a house, dig the yard or commit to a repair.
Sump Pump Installation and Repair
Pumps that fail to start, cycle nonstop or leave the pit full get fixed or replaced before the next storm.
Basement Waterproofing
Interior drains, sump systems and entry-point fixes aimed at the source of seepage in a damp basement.

Pipes, fixtures and commercial work
This group covers the pipes that bring water in and the fixtures that put it to use. Some of it is urgent, like a split pipe in a wall, and some is planned, like opening a bathroom for a remodel.
Leak Detection
A meter that runs with everything off, or a bill that jumps, means water is escaping. We locate the leak before any cutting.
Burst Pipe Repair
When a supply line splits or freezes, we stop the water, repair the section and tell you what to dry first.
Water Service Line Repair
The pipe running from the street to your house, including older lead lines, repaired or replaced.
Whole House Repiping
Galvanized, tired copper or failing plastic supply pipes replaced throughout the house.
Toilet Repair and Installation
Toilets that run, leak at the base or clog repeatedly get fixed, and new ones are set and sealed.
Faucet Repair
Drips, stiff handles and shutoff valves under the sink that no longer close all the way.
Garbage Disposal Repair
Disposals that hum, jam, leak or sit dead are fixed or swapped for a new one.
Plumbing Installation
New fixtures, laundry connections and remodel rough-ins, done to code and inspected where required.
Commercial Plumbing
Restaurants, shops and offices along Ridgewood Avenue and Route 17 can call the same line for repairs.
How to choose the right service
Start with the speed of the problem. If water is spraying, rising or spreading, close the nearest shutoff valve and call right away. If a fixture is simply annoying, such as a drip or a slow drain, you can schedule a daytime visit and avoid after-hours pricing.
Next, think about how many fixtures are affected. One slow sink usually means a local clog and calls for drain cleaning. Several drains acting up together, or a gurgle when you flush, points to the main line and sewer line cleaning.
Finally, consider age. A water heater that is more than a decade old and leaking is a replacement candidate. A younger unit that has stopped heating is often a repair. When you call, tell us the age if you know it, and we will give you a straight opinion.
If you are buying a home, a sewer camera inspection and a review of the supply piping can reveal problems before closing. Ask us about both at the same time.
What to expect on every job
The plumber looks at the problem, explains the cause and gives you the price before work starts. We do not promise arrival times or flat quotes sight unseen. You approve the scope, and if it changes, we pause and check with you.
Work is done by licensed and insured professionals, and when a permit or inspection applies, we tell you about it up front. For towns we cover, see our service areas page.

Service questions
Anything with an emergency tag, such as leaks, backups, burst pipes, failed water heaters and sump pump trouble, can be reported at any hour. Planned installs and inspections are usually scheduled in daytime.
Yes. Most calls come from homeowners, and the same number handles shops, restaurants and offices through our commercial plumbing service.
We can explain what drives the cost, but an honest price needs a look at the problem. The plumber gives you the price on site before any work starts.
